News/Updates at Kodivaro Siberians!
December 31, 2020 - I'm happy to say that in spite of the loss of PawVillage (which may come back in some form or another in the future, but as of yet it's undecided) my work on the database still passed a huge milestone today. As of the last day of 2020, the database now contains over 20,000 records! (20,068 to be specific.)
2020 has been full of challenges, but also lots of triumphs both big and small. Best wishes to all for a safe, happy, COVID-free 2021! (I did not attend any shows in 2020, because in my opinion there is no ribbon or award on Earth worth endangering people's lives, but I will continue working on performance titles from home and attending my first conformation show around April or May of 2021.)

December 20, 2020 - Today my pedigree database project suffered a serious setback. The PawVillage database, which housed 150,000+ pedigrees contributed by individual breeders over the past 23 years, was unexpectedly shut down by its owner. No warning was given, and no one had the chance to save any of their pedigrees before the shutdown. Before today I had entered 18,497 records into my own database, or around 12.3% of the total records on PawVillage, but the other 87.7% is likely lost forever unless the owner provides a copy of the files to me or any of the others who have reached out to her.
I will be incorporating as many records as I can from IngRus's online database, which houses approximately 50,000 pedigrees, as well as books, magazines, and paper records I have in my collection. If the owner of PawVillage has deleted her files, or decides not to share them with me, then I will release the database as-is once these other records are entered.
In the meantime, a copy of the files is available for download here in .csv format for anyone to use in Microsoft Excel. Several breeder database programs are also compatible with .csv files, so feel free to try importing it to your database if you have a program you already use (or, if you don't, I highly recommend Breeding Master!)

This "Kissable-Huggable-Lovable-UNBELIEVABLE" girl has already achieved more than I ever hoped for. She has 50 titles to her name: 3 in conformation, 47 in performance, and 34 of which she is the first Siberian in history to earn. She is sweet, affectionate, and just enough of a mischievous devil to keep things interesting. I couldn't imagine life without her now, and as much as Kodi might not want to admit it, I know he agrees.
Thank you to all of the friends, family, and fellow exhibitors who have coached and encouraged us thus far. We've had a blast together every step of the way, and the journey is only just beginning!
Here's looking forward to a fantastic 2021. Watch for Shiva in the conformation ring next year!

December 7, 2020 - 4 new titles for Shiva tonight, courtesy of Maslow's University of Talented Dogs! Shiva earned the Kindergarten and Elementary levels in both the School of Tricks and School of Physical Education (Canine Fitness) divisions. This brings her to 50 lifetime titles at 2 days shy of her 2nd birthday!
This girl is so incredibly fun to work with, and loves learning new tricks. I can't wait to see what we'll accomplish together in 2021!

October 7, 2020 - Judging for the 9th VDS hosted by Linda Rusinko concluded yesterday, and I am over the moon with the results! I'm so grateful to be able to do something conformation-related right now, as I can't go to shows because of the elderly relatives and mental health clients I see every day who would be put at risk if I did.
Kodi and Shiva were entered in 7 classes between them, and the results were as follows:
Baby Puppy (Dogs must be 0-3 months in all photos):
Kodi – 1st, WD – 2 pts (3/5 pts total toward BP-HVCH)
Shiva – 1st, WB, BOW, BOB, GRP1 – 5 pts, **New BP-HVCH**
Novice Puppy (Dogs must be 3-6 months in all photos):
Kodi – 1st, WD, BOW, BOB, GRP2– 5 pts, **New NP-HVCH**
Shiva – 1st, WB – 1 pt (4/5 pts total toward NP-HVCH)
Regular Classes (Dogs must be 6+ months in all photos):
Kodi – 1st, RWD – 0 pts
Shiva – 1st, WB – 4 pts (4/5 pts total toward HVCH)
Altered Classes (Dogs must be desexed in all photos):

September 18, 2020 - It's official! 12 new titles for #ShivaTheDiva this month (first Siberian ever to earn 11 of them) and the 13th is in the works for sometime in October.

August 1, 2020 - July was a busy month for #ShivaTheDiva!
I kept it under wraps until we had everything done, but we spent the month working on our tricks, and pending confirmation on one from yesterday we ended up hitting a personal best of 10 new titles in 1 month! This brings her up to 34 lifetime titles at 19 months old!
In July, she earned: TKP, ETD, CCF3, CCF4, CCFCH, NSD, TC1, IMN2, IUN2, and DPUK-4Br, and was the first Siberian ever to earn the CCF3, CCF4, CCFCH, IMN2, IUN2, and DPUK-4Br!
We're both tired and ready for a little break, but it was a great way to pass the time and have fun with Da Diva!

June 14, 2020 - The genetic test results are in, and I'm thrilled to announce that Shiva is 100% clear of CD, DM, GM1, and XL-PRA!
June 8, 2020 - I was waiting for official confirmation before revealing Shiva's latest award: The ICE Versatility In Performance (VIP) Award!
This is earned by finishing International Canine Ninja Levels 1-3 (ICN1, ICN2, ICN3), earning all 3 Dog-A-Cise certificates, and finishing the 2 ICE Got Talent titles (IGT1 & IGT2). We finished the last title, the IGT2, on May 31st, and I'll post the video later.
Shiva was the very first Siberian Husky worldwide to earn every one of those titles, with the exception of the ICN1, and now she is the first Siberian worldwide to earn the V.I.P. as well! Conformation will always be important to my breeding program, but performance is my passion, and this is my proudest performance achievement to date.

February 29, 2020 - This is a very special Leap Day here at Kodivaro. Feb 29, 2016 was the day my Boxer, Hudspeth Rocks My World aka "Roxy," earned her Canine Good Citizen title. She was 10 years old, and it was the very first title I had ever put on one of my dogs.
Today, exactly 4 years later, Shiva became the first Siberian Husky worldwide to finish the ICN3 (International Canine Ninja Level 3) title, making it the *51st* title ever earned by one of my dogs. This is especially meaningful for me because Shiva is Roxy's namesake and successor as the matriarch of my pack (Roxy's original name was going to be Shiva) so it feels like we've come full circle now.

February 15, 2020 - #ShivaTheDiva is feeling tricksy! Pending approval from DMWYD and AKC, she has earned her ITD, TKI, ATD, TKA, CCF1, and CCF2 titles (first Siberian Husky *worldwide* to earn the CCF1 or CCF2)! This brings her up to 21 titles (3 in conformation and 18 in performance) at only 14 months of age!

January 2, 2020 - #ShivaTheDiva started the New Year off right today by earning her Novice Trick Dog (NTD) title through DMWYD! This is her 15th title (3 conformation, 12 performance), and all before 14 months of age!
