Dutch is a stunning black and white boy who came to me from Cashel Farm Greyhounds in Penrose, CO. He is out of Cashel's Bacchanalia x Cashel's Bit O Honey, and goes back to many racers and coursers I greatly admire. His registered and call names are both inspired by the Red Dead Redemption game series, named after the main antagonist and cunning outlaw, Dutch Van der Linde.
Unlike his namesake, however, Dutch has an amazing temperament - sweet, calm, silly, and inquisitive, and a snuggly little gentleman to boot. Despite never having seen a Siberian Husky before, he hit it off with Kodi and Shiva from the moment he met them. He isn't bothered in the slightest by my guinea pigs, and has zero interest in the neighbors' cats and chickens (which I was definitely not expecting, given I have lived with Siberians and their intense prey drives for most of the last decade). Within a day of him arriving home, it felt like Dutch had always been here with us; I am not exaggerating when I say it was the easiest time I've ever had introducing a new puppy. I'm already totally in love with him, and so grateful to Anne Sheridan for allowing me to bring him home.
I can't wait to see what adventures this special boy and I will go on together. He's still growing, so he's not old enough for coursing just yet, but it's definitely on my list for the future. In the meantime, look for us in the conformation rings, as well as trying out a few tricks!
